Ingredients
- 2 cups diced Padow's Country Ham
- 2 tsp. water
- 3 tbsp. margarine
- 1 tbsp. minced onion
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 2/3 cup milk
- 3/4 cup diced celery
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- Pastry for I-crust pie
- Paprika
Instructions
- Mix mustard with water and set aside for 10 minutes
- Melt butter in saucepan
- Add onions to saucepan and sauté for 2 minutes
- Stir in flour, then add milk and celery
- Bring to boil over medium heat and cook while stirring until thickened
- Simmer a few minutes
- Stir in mustard, pepper, garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce
- Add ham and peas
- Place ingredients in 1 1/2 qt. baking dish and cover with pastry
- Bake at 425° for 25 minutes until pastry is lightly browned
- Sprinkle with paprika
