I am constantly amazed at the size of sandwiches that I get from Padow's Deli. While the prices aren't the cheapest in town, you certainly get what you pay for.

Such was the case when I revisited Padow's just the other day. I ordered the #34 -- sweet ham, turkey, and swiss -- and had some chips while reading the newspaper and waiting for my sandwich. During this time, I was reminded about the lone detraction that Padow's has: a long wait time to get your order.

Because the food is so good, it made the wait time to get my food feel like twice as long as it actually was. Once I got my food, the wait time was quickly forgotten. As usual, the food was delicious and the sandwich was just perfect.

If you're in the mood for a great sandwich, this is the place to go. Just know that you'll have a bit of a wait after you place your order and that you'll have to stand in a long line around lunchtime.

Lastly, Padow?s Deli also has some great hams for sale during the holidays. Twice I have gotten one of their hams and both times they have gotten rave reviews around the dinner table. Their hams are very easy to prepare and come with simple instructions to follow. Like the lunchtime lines, be sure to get your holiday ham early because the pickings get slim as the holidays get closer.
